General practitioner and/or emergency physician

Mediaiko is a health center specialized in pre-hospital emergencies and local medicine. As part of the development of its care offer and integrated medical regulation unit, the center recruits two general practitioners and/or emergency physicians to intervene in the medical center, at patients’ homes and in the field. The physician provides general medical consultations and emergency management at the centre and outside of it. He/she contributes to the quality and safety of care, participates in medical regulation with the nursing team and ensures compliance with clinical protocols and good practices. Main activities Medical consultations and pre-hospital interventions

• Provide general medical consultations and emergency management: diagnosis, prescription, follow-up, referral and documentation of care.
• Ensure the same quality of care at the medical center and patients’ homes.
• Intervene in the field during pre-hospital emergencies: clinical evaluation, emergency actions, stabilization, referral and patient support. Medical regulation and patient referral
• Providing medical expertise in telephone regulation, in coordination with the health framework and the medical regulatory unit.
• Decide on the direction of patients according to the severity of the situation: return delayed consultation or hospitalization. Coordination of care and continuity of service
• Collaborate with nurse regulators and intervention teams to ensure continuity and consistency of care.
• Participate in guards and on-calls according to the needs of the service, as part of the continuous operation of Mediaiko. Quality, safety of care and availability of resources
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and contribute to their continuous improvement.
• Ensure the availability of medicines, emergency equipment and equipment necessary to care for patients.
• Report immediately to the responsible person any anomaly or insufficiency that could compromise care. Medical records and traceability
• Maintain up-to-date medical records of patients and ensure traceability of the actions performed, prescriptions and directions decided. Medical secrecy and confidentiality
• Strict adherence to medical confidentiality and confidentiality is an essential requirement of the position, both during and after the employment relationship.

Education / Qualifications

• Protect patient information, medical records and exchanges, regardless of support or location.
• Limit the access and transmission of information to authorized persons, only data necessary for care and in compliance with the applicable framework; report any incident of confidentiality to the Medical Directorate.
