Job Description

 Reputable Wholesale/Distributorship company in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods sector is looking for Results-Oriented Sales and Marketing Representatives. The territory is nation-wide.

The opportunity is within a fast-paced startup environment and requires the sales reps to bring in new clients from scratch.

We are seeking ethical but money-motivated marketers who have demonstrated success working in a commissioned role.

Reports To: Sales & Marketing Manager

Responsibilities

manage assigned territory 

actively prospect and sell the company’s products from Monday to Saturday

build base of loyal, honest clients 

Attend meetings and other training and development programs as may be required

Study each of company’s products to ensure expert knowledge thereof.

Inform clients about the benefits and competitive advantage 

Analyze competitors' performance to safeguard and further promote our position in the market.

Conduct regular self-evaluations to ensure that you always meet or exceed weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets

Attend training workshops organized by the company and other external congresses to remain up-to-date with standards and developments in the industry.

Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.

Meet with current and prospective clients to identify their needs and present new/relevant products. Also identify areas of company growth based on clients' needs

Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly territory analyses.

Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and selling techniques.

Recommend changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.

Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.

Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.

Work with sales team to develop strategies and implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message

Required Skills or Experience

At least 2 - 3 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical, medical sales and or fmcgs

Experience in engaging with procurement personnel, supermarket buyers, wholesalers etc

Excellent communication, computer and commercial skills

Good interpersonal relationship

Ability to work independently

Have a driver's licence and reliable car

Base salary commensurate with experience 

Additional training or certification in sales, marketing or customer relations will be an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of sales techniques, territory management and customer relationship management.

Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

Ability to understand and explain technical product information clearly

Competence in basic reporting tools

Good understanding of market dynamics, competitive activities and customer needs.

Personal Attribute

Results-driven with a strong sense of accountability and integrity.

Persuasive, confident and able to work under minimal supervision

Self-motivated, proactive and organized

Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach

Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories.
