We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chemist to join our team. Position: Chemist Reports To: Quality Manager Company: Kingsworth Group Limited (KGL) 1. Job Purpose To perform chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and water systems across the corn wet-milling plant, ensuring compliance with strict quality and safety specifications. 2. Key Responsibilities Routine Analysis: Test Corn Starch, Liquid Glucose, Maltodextrin, Modified Starch, and by-products for parameters such as moisture, pH, ash, viscosity, dextrose equivalent (DE), and sulphur dioxide (SO2). Wet Chemistry & Instrumentation: Perform titrations, proximate analysis, and operate laboratory equipment including spectrophotometers and refractometers. Calibration & Standards: Maintain equipment calibration logs, prepare chemical reagents, and manage standard solutions. 3. Qualifications & Experience BSc in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Food Science, or related discipline. Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in food, beverage, or starch/ingredient manufacturing. 4. Skills & Competencies Strong wet chemistry skills and analytical precision. Data literacy — spreadsheet management, trend analysis, and report writing. Investigative mindset with sound root-cause reasoning. Integrity in data recording; zero tolerance for result manipulation.
