We are seeking highly qualified and experienced candidates to join our team. Position: Microbiologist Reports To: Quality Manager Company: Kingsworth Group Limited (KGL) 1. Job Purpose To conduct microbiological analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water systems and environmental surfaces across the corn wet-milling plant, ensuring compliance with product specifications, customer requirements. 2. Key Responsibilities Routine Analysis – Perform TPC, Coliforms, Enterobacteriaceae, E. coli, Salmonella and Yeast & Mould testing on Corn Starch, Liquid Glucose, Maltodextrin, Modified Starch and by-products – Analyse process water, RO permeate, borehole water, CIP rinse water and ETP/STP samples – Conduct environmental monitoring: swab testing, ATP hygiene verification, air plate exposure – Maintain aseptic technique, media preparation, sterilisation records and culture disposal 3. Qualifications & Experience Essential – BSc in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology or related discipline – Minimum 3 years’ laboratory experience, preferably in food, beverage or starch/ingredient manufacturing 4. Skills & Competencies – Strong aseptic technique and analytical accuracy – Data literacy — spreadsheet management, trend analysis, report writing – Investigative mindset with sound root-cause reasoning – Ability to defend technical findings under scrutiny with objective evidence – Clear written and verbal English communication – Integrity in data recording; zero tolerance for result manipulation – Ability to work shifts and respond to production emergencies — 5.
