UPDATE — RECRUITMENT OF 83 RESEARCHERS FOR THE MINRESI

In accordance with the Communiqué Radio-Presse N° 000037/MINRESI/CAB/C00 of 30 September 2026, signed by the Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation (Dr Madeleine TCHUINTE), major changes have been made to the joint call for applications MINFOPRA/MINRESI.

IMPORTANT NEWS AND UPDATES:

- 1. EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE FOR FILINGÔT FILES:

o The application deadline, originally set for Friday, October 02, 2026, is officially extended to Friday, October 16, 2026 .

- 2. QUOTA DEDICATED TO THE CAMEROONIAN DIASPORA:

o Of the 83 open positions, 10% are reserved for candidates from the Cameroonian diaspora, for a total of eight (08) positions. o Diaspora candidates can submit their applications directly to the Embassies of Cameroon in their respective countries of residence.

REMINDER OF THE CONTENTS OF THE COMPLETE OFFERÈTE

Joint Order No. 000090/MINFOPRA/MINRESI of 09 September 2026, signed by the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reform (Joseph LE) and the Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation (Dr Madeleine TCHUINTE), opens a call for applications for the recruitment of eighty-three (83) Researchers for the benefit of MINRESI services, institutes and organizations under supervision.

- 1. DIPLÔMY REQUIREMENTS

Recruitment is open to holders of one of the following degrees (or equivalent):

• Design Engineer Diploma

• Master of Science (Master II) with thesis

• DEA (Diploma of Advanced Studies)

• PhD / Ph.D

- 2. DISTRIBUTION OF 83 POSITIONS BY RESEARCH AREA

Climate change (mitigation, adaptation) Cybersecurity Blue Economy Renewable energy Genetics Process engineering Geography (Geomorphology) Geophysics Information technology Artificial Intelligence Applied Mathematics Mechatronics Civil nuclear (reactor engineering, safety, applications) (N.B. In the absence of applications in one specialty, places may be reassigned to other specialties).

CONDITIONS

OFÂGE AND ELIGIBILITY

• Research Attaché: 30 years at most on January 1, 2026.

• Research Fellow: 35 years at most on January 1, 2026.

• Master and Research Director: 40 years at most on January 1, 2026.

• Exemption for people with disabilities: Increase up to 5 years maximum for holders of a National Disability Card (Order No. 040/PM of May 19, 2022).

• Higher grades at Research Attaché: Justify an equivalent function in progress (Researcher/Superior Teacher) in a recognized public, private or foreign body, hold the terminal degree and have sufficient scientific publications.

• Exclusion: Nominations of current Public Agents (Officials or Contractors) are not accepted.

- 4. COMPOSITION AND DEPÔT OF THE APPLICATION FILE

Location

• Candidates in Cameroon: Serving the MINRESI Courier or Regional Research and Innovation Centers (RRI).

• Diaspora candidates: In the Embassies of Cameroon in their respective countries of residence. New deadline: Friday, October 16, 2026 (de rigueur) . Required supporting documents:

• 1. An application form stamped at 1,500 FCFA (specifying the specialty and the grade applied), available at MINRESI, in Regional Centers or on www.minresi.gov.cm .
• 2. A payment receipt of 20,000 CFA francs issued by the Head of Budget and Equipment Service of MINRESI or by the Heads of General Affairs Service of Regional Centres.
• 3. An extract of criminal record (bulletin n°3) dating from less than 3 months.
• 4. A certified copy of the birth certificate that is less than 3 months old.
• 5. A detailed curriculum vitae.
• 6. Two (02) 4x4 ID photos less than 3 months old.
• 7. Certified copies of all diplomas since the Baccalaureate / GCE AL, signed by a competent civil authority (less than 3 months).
• 8. A certificate of presentation of the original of the highest degree (less than 3 months).
• 9. A copy of the dissertation or thesis defended.
• 10. Any official document justifying the current exercise of the duties of Researcher or Teacher of the superior (if applicable).
• 11. Extracts from scientific articles already published.
• 12. A medical certificate (less than 3 months) issued by a doctor of a public hospital certifying physical and mental fitness.
• 13. An envelope stamped at 500 FCFA to the address of the candidate. (Important: All documents must be legalized by an administrative, municipal or judicial authority and dated less than 3 months).

- 5. SELECTION AND SALARY TREATMENT

• The files will be examined by a Recruitment Commission with the Minister of Scientific Research.

• The final results will be published by joint MINFOPRA/MINRESI order.

• The selected researchers will be recruited as contractors and treated financially according to the index grid set by Decree No. 2023/337 of 08 August 2023 on special status of Researcher Staff.
