Site Planner / Industrial Project

As part of a project to develop an energy terminal in Dakar, we are looking for a Planner / Industrial Project to ensure the follow-up of the planning and progress of activities carried out on the site.

Main duties

As part of the project team, the main tasks of the position will be to:

• Participate in the development and updating of the general schedule of site activities;
• Detail the activities to be carried out according to the different phases of the project;
• Monitor daily or weekly the progress of work;
• Compare the actual progress with the forecast schedule;
• Identify delays, deviations and possible risks on the schedule;

Education / Qualifications

• Collecting progress information from operational teams and subcontractors;
• Update schedules and monitoring tables;
• Monitor the different deadlines and milestones of the project;
• Identify any dependencies between activities;
• Prepare progress reports and indicators;
• Participate in project follow-up meetings and prepare planning materials;
• Follow up on actions and deadlines set at meetings;
• Alert the project manager in case of delay or risk likely to impact the planning;
• Ensure the archiving and updating of documents related to the schedule.

Candidate profile

Training: Bac+2/3 minimum in

• Civil engineering / construction;
• Industrial engineering;
• Project management;
• Planning;
• Logistics;
• or similar area.

Experience

2 to 5 years of experience in project monitoring, ideally in:

• BTP / construction;
• industrial projects;
• energy;
• Oil & Gas;
• infrastructure;
• Maritime or port work.
• Experience in site planning or monitoring the progress of work is particularly sought.
