Expérience
Our client’s Cloud Operations team is seeking an experienced systems automation engineer to enhance their automation tooling. In this role, you will engage with a diverse product portfolio, gaining valuable exposure to varied technologies, datasets, and challenges. Your responsibilities will include transforming standard operating procedures into automated workflows and enhancing the efficiency of systems and cloud management. You will play a pivotal role in developing automation run books for the cloud engineering team, covering core systems’ management, advanced Windows server administration at scale, and SaaS application platforms. To qualify, you must possess:
At least four years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft and Linux platforms at scale within a SaaS environment comprising 100+ servers.
Four years of practical experience with tier-1 public cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Four years of production-level networking experience at scale.
Four years of production automation expertise using configuration-management tools in both Windows and Linux environments.
Four years of production experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, SQL, Terraform, or PowerShell.
At least two years of production experience with container scheduling engines (Mess, Docker, or Kubernetes).
Two years of production-level CI/CD pipeline management (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, Argo CD).
Three years of experience providing level-3 support in a ticketing system (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
Agile methodology experience.
Global organization collaboration.
Schema change management as code.
Willingness to participate in an on-call pager rotation. Your approach to work should emphasize automation as a key enabler, foster open collaboration and communication, prioritize code over GUI-driven solutions, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
