The goal of the BTP technical supervisor is to transform a real site into professional learning support. It simultaneously ensures the proper execution of the work entrusted to the integration site, the progressive learning of the beneficiaries, the safety of people and the operational structuring of the device.
The position requires a dual posture: site professional able to organize, anticipate and solve field problems; proximity trainer capable of transmitting gestures, observing progress, setting a demanding framework and valorizing learning.
Participate in the concrete implementation of the system before and during the start-up: identification of workspaces, analysis of work achievable by beneficiaries, identification of risks, proposal of a site organization compatible with the educational objective and technical constraints. Contribute to translating the project reference document into field organization: planning, workstations, material needs, operating rules, monitoring tools.
Plan daily and weekly tasks in line with the overall schedule of the construction site, the actual progress of the building and the level of beneficiaries. Prepare response areas, distribute roles, explain instructions and ensure that each task is safe to do. The work includes off-power electricity, basic plumbing, coatings, tiles, coatings, paint, simple finishes and site cleaning.
To supervise the group on site, show professional gestures, correct practices, support the rise in autonomy and ensure compliance with expected standards in the construction sector. The supervisor does not limit himself to giving instructions: he creates concrete learning situations, explains the meaning of the gesture, makes verbalized the steps, encourages precision, endurance, rigor and adaptation to the realities of the site.
Develop in the beneficiaries the behaviors expected by companies: punctuality, compliance with instructions, discipline, hygiene, storage of the position, communication with the manager, mutual assistance, fatigue management, acceptance of corrections and ability to finish a job properly. Use each site situation as a support to work the professional posture and understanding of employers’ expectations.
Ensure the application of safety rules, explain the risks associated with each activity, control the effective wearing of PPE and interrupt any dangerous situation. Set up regular reminders about safe gestures, tooling use, circulation, storage, power off, handling loads and protecting third parties. Immediately report any incident, near-accident or need for management adjustment.
Anticipate the need for materials, consumables, tools and protective equipment. Organize storage, inventory, storage, maintenance and control of equipment. Ensure the proper use of the tools by the beneficiaries and empower the group on the preservation of common material. Contribute to the implementation of simple tracking tools: stock sheets, tool lists, output register, consumables monitoring and replenishment alerts.
Accurately identify purchasing needs, request or compare prices according to internal rules, prepare the necessary elements for validation, track orders and control the receipt of materials or equipment. Ensure the traceability of purchases and justify the needs related to the site planning. The technical supervisor does not incur out-of-procedure expenses; it secures field needs and facilitates management decision making.
Check the conformity of the work to the given instructions, the rules of the art accessible at the level of the insertion site and the expected level of finishing. Identify errors, organize the necessary repetitions and use the observed defects as teaching materials. Seek a balance between learning, right to error and requirement of result on a real building.
Regularly observe technical achievements, autonomy, safety, professional posture and integration into the group. Inform the monitoring tools and contribute to the skills booklet, individual assessments and final assessment. Share the observations with the socio-economic supporter, the trainers and the business development manager in order to adapt the support and prepare the outings towards employment.
Education / Qualifications
Participate, when necessary, in interviews or collective time to assess motivation, availability, ability to evolve on site and understanding the requirements of the course. During training, identify discouragement, attendance difficulties or risky behaviours, and then alert the support team to find appropriate solutions.
Participate in team meetings, transmit useful information, coordinate site needs with management and contribute to the link with companies or construction professionals mobilized for visits, advice or outings to employment. Adopt a position of cooperation with the socio-economic team so that the requirements of the site remain compatible with the objectives of integration.
Propose realistic improvements on task organization, instructional sequencing, tracking tools, hardware management and security. Contribute to documenting what works, the difficulties encountered, the necessary adaptations and good practices to allow the renewal or improvement of the next insertion site sessions.
