The GCF Liaison Officer will serve as the primary link between the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and Niger's National Designated Authorities (NDAs) or relevant agencies. This role focuses on enhancing the capacity of these agencies to develop and implement climate change initiatives, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring effective communication regarding GCF policies and processes. The officer will also assist in project development, monitoring, and reporting, while fostering cooperation among diverse stakeholders. The position requires a strong commitment to ethical standards and the ability to work in a multicultural environment. University degree in climate change/environmental science or related field At least eight years of experience in climate investment and financing Proven experience in institutional strengthening and capacity-building At least five years of experience in developing climate change investment proposals Experience addressing climate change issues in Niger Strong interpersonal and communication skills Familiarity with GCF operational mechanisms Fluency in English and proficiency in Niger's official language(s) Ability to work in a multicultural environment Commitment to ethical standards
