Mine Transport Supervisor

Gold Ridge Mining Limited (GRML) is inviting applications for a Mine Transport Supervisor. ABOUT THE ROLE The role encompasses fleet management, driving safety management, vehicle dispatching, driver training, vehicle technical inspection and accident management. The mining area has complex road conditions, including steep slopes, mud, temporary construction roads and heavy vehicle operations. The supervisor needs a high level of driving experience, safety management skills and on-site emergency response capabilities, as well as experience managing vehicles for mines or large-scale engineering projects and strong fleet organisation abilities. KEY REQUIREMENTS

Expérience

• Extensive vehicle management experience at mines, engineering projects or large construction sites, with at least five years of driving experience and over two years of experience managing driver teams or fleets.
• Familiarity with mine vehicle dispatching, driver scheduling, vehicle safety inspections, maintenance and accident management procedures.

Proficient 4WD driving skills, including handling mountainous areas, muddy roads, steep slopes, slippery surfaces and unpaved roads.

• Strong safety awareness and familiarity with defensive driving, fatigue management, alcohol and drug management, and vehicle risk assessment.
• Ability to organise driver training, safety meetings and daily driving behaviour supervision.
• Basic vehicle fault diagnosis skills, including identifying common abnormalities in braking, tyres, suspension, steering, engine and transmission systems.
• Ability to use vehicle inspection checklists, maintenance records, fuel consumption records, accident reports and driver performance evaluation forms.
• Excellent organisational, communication and coordination skills, including managing multiple drivers and coordinating vehicle needs across departments.
• A valid driver’s licence. Where specific vehicles are involved, a valid licence for the corresponding vehicle type or grade is required.
• Ability to adapt to shift work, overtime, night shifts and emergency dispatch work in mines.

Formation / Diplômes

• Experience in mine HSE, safety management or defensive driving training will be preferred.
