Salary: (XOF) CFA9,975,233 – (XOF) CFA9,975,233/Per Year Series/Grade: LE – 1210 – 7 Agency: Embassy Bamako Position Info: Location: Bamako, ML Close Date: (MM/DD/YYYY) 11/28/2024 Duties This position supervises and directs the daily operations and activities of six facility maintenance electricians in performing electrical maintenance and repairs at U.S. government-owned and leased residences.  The position is supervised by the Residential Maintenance Supervisor. Position is responsible for assigning work to subordinate electricians on a daily basis.  Work assignments are provided in the form of work orders, oral or written instructions, or execution of an established make-ready schedule for residential housing units. Qualifications and Evaluations Requirements: All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a: security certificate All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam. Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time upon receipt of a formal offer of employment. Education Requirements: Completion of high school (or host nation equivalent) is required. Completion of a vocational program or apprenticeship program recognized as producing journeyman level electricians is required. Evaluations: You will be evaluated against the qualifications and requirements in this vacancy announcement. You may be asked to complete a pre-employment language or skills test. Qualifications: Experience: Four years of responsible experience (to include one year of supervisory experience) in the field of electric power distribution and residential electricity. Language:  English: Limited Knowledge of English is required. This may be tested French or Bambara: Good working knowledge of French or Bambara. This may be tested. Job Knowledge: Must be able to read and understand blueprints, sketches, electrical schematic diagrams, required trade manuals, equipment operation and maintenance manuals, electrical and building codes. Skills And Abilities: Must be able to use the tools of the trade, power drills, hand tools, fish tape; must be able to work at elevated heights or from an aerial work platform. Must have a valid drivers’ license. Must possess administrative and supervisory skills. Basic typing skill is required
