Expérience
The Human Rights Officer (Sustainable Development Advisor) position at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Dakar involves providing analysis and advice on human rights-based economic and social policies. The incumbent will integrate human rights into State and UN development policies, offer technical assistance, and monitor the implementation of international human rights instruments. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including UN entities and national authorities, to enhance human rights integration in development programs. Additionally, the officer will train and supervise junior staff and ensure alignment with global sustainable development efforts. Advanced university degree in law, political science, or related field Minimum seven years of experience in human rights or related areas At least three years of experience in integrating human rights into sustainable development Experience in research, analysis, and report drafting in human rights and development financing Fluency in English and French; Portuguese is desirable
