Key Responsibilities Design and execute comprehensive longitudinal studies on endemic fish species and aquatic flora in the Lake Kivu basin. Lead the development of biodiversity monitoring protocols to track the health of freshwater ecosystems. Collaborate with the Rwandan Ministry of Environment to draft legislation regarding protected aquatic zones. Manage multi-million dollar grants and ensure the efficient allocation of resources for field research. Mentor junior biologists and researchers, fostering a pipeline of local expertise in limnology.
