We are seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to join our team in Syria, based in Aleppo (Azaz). This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Country Program Coordinator. In this role, you will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects to ensure timely delivery, quality outputs, and compliance with organizational and donor requirements. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to facilitate efficient project execution.

Key duties involve assisting in the development of project work plans, timelines, and budgets; coordinating day-to-day project activities to ensure alignment with objectives; supporting timely implementation of project deliverables and milestones; serving as a focal point for communication between teams, partners, and stakeholders; organizing meetings, workshops, and coordination events; preparing minutes, action points, and following up on commitments; supporting budget tracking and expenditure monitoring; and assisting in preparing financial forecasts and reports.

To be successful in this role, you should hold a degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, an institute in medical science, or a related field. We require a minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in project implementation. Experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or international organizations is considered an asset. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as are excellent written and verbal communication abilities. You must be capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Our organization, UITYD, is a global humanitarian non-profit providing medical and health education services to people in need, including refugees and displaced persons, in disaster and underserved regions. We are composed of medical and public health professionals of diverse backgrounds. UITYD's Code of Conduct reflects the profession's core set of beliefs and values of care, respect, trust, and integrity. These beliefs and values are fundamental to all employees, volunteers, interns, consultants, and contractors to guide their practice and conduct. Provide a positive and valued experience for those receiving service within and outside UITYD.

Child abuse in all forms is unacceptable to UITYD, which recognizes its responsibility to protect children from harm in all areas of its work. UITYD is committed to ensuring a child-safe environment and applies a zero-tolerance approach towards any kind of child abuse and exploitation. Employees and related personnel must under no circumstances take part in any form of discrimination, harassment, or abuse (physical, sexual or verbal), intimidation or exploitation, or in any other way infringe the rights of others inside or outside the organization. All UITYD employees must adhere to PSEA's protection policies and principles and rules of conduct. Strict compliance with safety and ethical standards is required.

  • Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
