VACANCY: Special Needs Teacher
Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (SSHJM) – CBR Project, Chingola Role Summary Support the learning and wellbeing of children/young adults with disabilities and vulnerable learners through inclusive education, assessments, skills training, counselling, and parent support.
– Teach and support learners in the inclusive programme – Assess learners and develop Individual Learning Plans (IEPs) – Provide skills development, basic counselling & psychosocial support – Support parents/caregivers and maintain learner records/reports – Collaborate with project staff, schools & stakeholders
Certificate or Diploma in Special Education / Special Needs Education – Experience with PWDs and vulnerable children is an added advantage – Basic counselling knowledge, good communication & teamwork skills – Passion for inclusive education – Practical skills in sewing, food production, agriculture, crafts etc. is an added advantage
