Comprehensive Medical Insurance Program
Jhpiego, an international nonprofit health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, is seeking a reputable medical insurance provider or broker to deliver comprehensive, high-quality medical insurance services to its employees and eligible dependents throughout Zambia. We are committed to delivering healthcare services that are accessible, efficient, and cost-effective, while adhering to industry standards and promoting the health and well-being of Jhpiego staff and their families.
This procurement opportunity invites qualified providers to submit proposals for comprehensive medical health insurance services. Interested parties must meet all specified eligibility criteria and adhere to the outlined requirements to be considered. The selected vendor will be responsible for delivering essential insurance solutions in accordance with the terms outlined in the request.
Jhpiego welcomes proposals from qualified insurance providers and brokers to deliver high-standard medical insurance solutions. Interested parties are encouraged to submit detailed bids for consideration.
The contract period will be from 1st October 2026 to 30th September 2027. To ensure alignment with market standards, Jhpiego Zambia, along with its field offices and other provincial entities, must adhere to these guidelines.
Objectives
This initiative aims to deliver full medical insurance coverage and healthcare management solutions to Jhpiego Zambia employees and their eligible dependents over a twelve-month term, guaranteeing prompt access to high-quality healthcare services throughout the country.
Schedule
This RFP process has been assigned a structured timeline, with all dates reflecting Central Africa Time (CAT), specifically GMT+2 for Lusaka, Zambia. Any adjustments to the schedule deemed necessary by circumstances will be communicated promptly. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be formally issued and made publicly available on 28 August 2026. Bidder Questions Due: 04 September 2026 at 13:00 Hours. Proposals Due: 11 September 2026, at 13:00 Hours. Submission of your response by the specified deadlines is essential to demonstrate your intent to participate in this RFP process. Failure to adhere to these timelines may be regarded as an indication of non-participation.
