Nanga Farms Limited, a large irrigated sugarcane estate situated 25 km northeast of Mazabuka in Zambia's Southern Province, is part of the ABF Sugar Group. The company's main activities include cultivating 2,860 hectares of sugarcane and rearing 1,400 head of cattle. We are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Agronomy Clerk (1 post) on a fixed-term contract, which is a permanent role reporting to the Farm Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Implement assignments given by the farm manager, maintain section records, manage the time book, capture stores requisitions, reconcile store drawings, capture leave days and farm inputs (fertilizer and inputs) in SAP, capture irrigation, rainfall, herbicide and fertilizer application reports in CanePro, issue cane tools and PPE to general workers, prepare SHERQ minutes for the section, and write monthly departmental reports.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Generate agronomy weekly and monthly reports. Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Good communication skills and the ability to relate well with colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in record management or a related qualification. Full Grade 12 certificate with at least 5 credits. Must be a Zambian with a Green National Registration Card. Relevant experience in the job is required.
