ICRISAT is seeking a highly motivated Pearl Millet Breeder Scientist to support its breeding program in Niamey, Niger. The role involves conducting research on varietal development, engaging with national seed systems, and building strategic alliances to enhance seed delivery systems. The candidate will also lead project monitoring and evaluation activities, assist in capacity development for local partners, and contribute to the dissemination of research findings. This position is contractual for two years, with potential for extension based on funding availability. Ph.D in breeding/agronomy Experience in pearl millet breeding Skills in seed sector development Fluency in French and English At least 3 years of experience in breeding/agronomy Ability to work in multi-stakeholder teams Experience managing donor funded projects
