ICRISAT recherche un(e) Scientist-Pearl Millet Breeder très motivé(e) pour soutenir son programme de sélection à Niamey, au Niger. Le poste implique de mener des recherches sur le développement variétal, de collaborer avec les systèmes semenciers nationaux et de bâtir des alliances stratégiques pour améliorer les systèmes de distribution de semences. Le/la candidat(e) dirigera également les activités de suivi et d'évaluation de projets, contribuera au renforcement des capacités des partenaires locaux et participera à la diffusion des résultats de recherche. Ce poste est à durée déterminée de deux ans, avec possibilité de prolongation en fonction de la disponibilité des financements.
Exigences : Doctorat en sélection végétale ou en agronomie ; expérience en sélection du mil à chandelle ; compétences en développement du secteur semencier ; maîtrise du français et de l'anglais ; au moins 3 ans d'expérience en sélection végétale ou en agronomie ; capacité à travailler au sein d'équipes multi-acteurs ; expérience dans la gestion de projets financés par des bailleurs de fonds.
