Job Description: Job Purpose The IT Operations and Infrastructure Specialist will oversee the administration, upkeep, and technical support of the organization’s IT infrastructure and daily technology functions. This position will focus on maintaining optimal performance, security, and reliability of IT systems, networks, servers, hardware, and business applications to ensure seamless business continuity. Key Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing and sustaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, encompassing servers, networks, hardware components, and software solutions. Evaluate the operational efficiency, uptime, and security protocols of IT systems and infrastructure on an ongoing basis. Deliver technical assistance to staff and address technical challenges encompassing hardware, software, network, and system-related problems. Oversee and uphold the integrity of the network infrastructure, which encompasses routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks. Regular system backups must be conducted consistently, and you will provide assistance with data recovery procedures as needed. Ensure the implementation and ongoing oversight of IT security protocols to safeguard company systems and data integrity. Oversee the administration of user accounts, control access permissions, and maintain IT asset inventory. Oversee the setup, configuration, and ongoing upkeep of computers, laptops, printers, and additional IT hardware to ensure optimal functionality and reliability across the organization. Assist with the deployment of innovative IT systems, infrastructure enhancements, and technology-driven initiatives to drive organizational progress and efficiency. Accurate documentation of IT systems, equipment, configurations, and procedures must be consistently maintained to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Interact with external IT service providers and vendors as required to ensure seamless collaboration and service delivery. Evaluate potential enhancements to IT systems, processes, and operational efficiency to identify and implement improvements. Verify adherence to established IT policies, procedures, and security standards within the organization. Prepare and present periodic reports to management detailing IT operations, system performance metrics, and infrastructure requirements. Qualifications and Experience A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent discipline is required. Seeking candidates with at least three to five years of hands-on experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, systems administration, or technical support roles. Seasoned professionals with a proven track record in overseeing networks, servers, and IT infrastructure are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in cybersecurity fundamentals and IT security methodologies is required.
