Role Overview We seek a highly skilled procurement and contracts specialist with a minimum of two years of relevant experience to enhance our impact on smallholder farmers by optimizing cost efficiency and streamlining contracting processes for the procurement team. Key Responsibilities – Tender Management: Lead comprehensive tendering and contract execution for high-value goods and services, coordinating departmental procurement strategies, defining 0–6 month performance benchmarks, setting price baselines to maximize cost savings, and refining sourcing processes for greater operational efficiency. – Contract Planning: Evaluate annual expenditure across priority categories to develop a quarterly tender calendar, complemented by market research to enhance competition and contract efficacy. – Contract Management: Oversee full contract lifecycles and long-term agreements by monitoring price fluctuations, administering change control mechanisms, assessing market risks, and documenting cost-saving achievements. – Supplier Performance Management: Conduct bi-annual vendor assessments and monthly engagements with top suppliers to design performance improvement initiatives and uphold contractual obligations. – Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between external suppliers and One Acre Fund, while directly addressing internal procurement requirements to ensure alignment and efficiency.
