One Acre Fund is seeking a skilled procurement and contracts professional with a minimum of two years of experience to enhance our agricultural impact by optimizing cost efficiency and streamlining contracting processes within the procurement department. The role is based in Kigali, Rwanda, and is open exclusively to citizens or permanent residents of the country, with a desired start date as soon as possible. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end tendering and contract execution, collaborating on departmental procurement strategies, setting quarterly performance targets, and establishing price baselines to maximize savings while refining sourcing processes for greater effectiveness. They will analyze annual expenditure across key categories to develop a quarterly tender calendar, conduct market research to enhance competition, and oversee full contract lifecycles—including long-term agreements—by monitoring price fluctuations, managing change control, assessing market risks, and reporting cost savings. Additionally, the role involves conducting bi-annual vendor evaluations and monthly meetings with top suppliers to implement performance improvement plans and ensure adherence to contractual obligations, while serving as the primary liaison between external suppliers and One Acre Fund, as well as supporting internal procurement needs. We foster a culture of continuous learning, offering weekly check-ins with managers, mentorship and training opportunities, structured career reviews every six months, and regular performance feedback to support professional growth and long-term career development. Ideal candidates will possess contract management and procurement sourcing expertise, strong data analysis and cost optimization skills, and experience in stakeholder and vendor management, preferably with a degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Law.
