Position Overview The Storekeeper plays a pivotal role in maintaining storerooms, overseeing stock management, and ensuring operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include receiving and storing materials and supplies, conducting inventory audits, processing requisitions, and managing records in both physical and digital formats. Collaboration is essential, as the role involves close coordination with the receiving – General Finance Clerk and the Procurement Officer to uphold accuracy and reliability in inventory tracking. The ideal candidate will ensure meticulous stock control by updating inventory records for receipts, adjustments, returns, and withdrawals, verifying proper storage and documentation of incoming goods, and promptly fulfilling departmental requisitions. Additionally, they will monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or excesses, maintain precise records of all transactions, and oversee proper labeling, pricing, and surplus disposal. Responsibilities also extend to stock rotation, freight handling, equipment movement, and minor repairs, as well as generating purchase orders for replenishment.
