  • Damascus, Syria, with regular coordination with field monitors across the six governorates ( Aleppo, Homs, Idleb, Hama, Raqqa and Al-Hasakah) and travel to field locations if needed Contract Duration : 6 Months
    1. Overview of The Day After The Day After (TDA) is an independent, Syrian-led civil society organization working to support a democratic transition in Syria. In August 2012, TDA completed work on a comprehensive approach to managing the challenges of a post-Assad transition in Syria. The Day After project brought together a group of Syrians representing a broad spectrum of the Syrian opposition, including representatives of the Syrian National Council, members of the Local Coordination Committees in Syria, and unaffiliated opposition figures from inside Syria and the diaspora, to participate in an independent transition-planning process. The TDA report, “The Day After: Supporting a Democratic Transition in Syria,” provides a framework of principles, goals and recommendations for addressing challenges in six key fields: rule of law; transitional justice; security sector reform; constitutional design; electoral system design; and post-conflict social and economic reconstruction. TDA has since shifted its focus from transition planning to implementation of the report's recommendations.

  • •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
