The Key Purpose This position involves overseeing and coordinating brewing quality control processes, ensuring that QA analyses align with AB InBev’s established standards and specifications to convert data into recognized laboratory protocols and procedures. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Quality Management Engage in the creation and enhancement of essential quality systems for the brewery by offering informed recommendations and specialized guidance. Implement any necessary quality systems or modifications to existing frameworks, ensuring laboratory teams possess the requisite skills and capabilities to execute their responsibilities effectively. Ensure the functional and operational integrity of the quality systems while maintaining data accuracy; proactively identify and address any issues that may arise. To integrate quality objectives into both the objectives of the laboratory team and the individual goals of team members. Conduct thorough evaluations to ensure adherence to all quality systems by both the laboratory personnel and shift-based production teams.

Oversee financial management pertaining to the asset care needs of brewing and utilities plants, ensuring expenditures align with budgetary allocations. Liaise with the Central Office to uphold quality standards and actively participate in regional and divisional multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. Quality Control and Analyses Here’s the version: The role involves ensuring that team members perform quality checks and analyses correctly and accurately document the results in the designated systems. Verifies the proper functioning of quality systems while ensuring the maintenance of data integrity and information accuracy. Ensures all laboratory equipment functions at peak performance by promptly detecting issues or potential improvements. Ensure the proper implementation of Changes of Terms (COT) to analytical standards, providing supplementary training as needed to facilitate compliance and proficiency. Ensures regional adaptations are incorporated into COT standards as required. Engages with the COT through multiple MDTs as needed, ensuring thorough comprehension of regional nuances and specific requirements. Team Leadership Skilled in fostering a collaborative and accountable laboratory environment, this role involves guiding the team with a focus on cultivating ownership, empowerment, and cohesive interaction among members. The laboratory team must fully comprehend and consistently comply with operational, quality, and process standards, as well as work instructions, calibration schedules, and performance targets. Mentoring and guiding team members to ensure the accurate completion of their responsibilities, while also providing ongoing support and coaching to foster their professional development. The incumbent is responsible for cultivating team members’ skills through comprehensive training needs assessments, individual coaching sessions, and structured performance evaluations. Upon identifying any developmental gaps, they will promptly implement corrective measures. Additionally, the Quality Control Manager will champion performance management frameworks, such as IMP, and spearhead the establishment of team objectives, conducting both individual performance reviews and collective goal review meetings.

• Exercise budgetary controls over the laboratory Safety and Housekeeping The engineering team must consistently follow proper safety and housekeeping protocols while ensuring full compliance with all applicable legal mandates throughout their operational duties. Ensure adherence to established SAB and legislative policies—including the ASH Act—pertaining to safety protocols and workplace housekeeping standards. The QC Manager is tasked with upholding safety and housekeeping standards by conducting routine inspections and safety audits. Upon identifying unsafe work practices, the QC Manager must take immediate corrective action to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with established protocols. Key Attributes and Competencies:

• Team Leadership Minimum Requirements: Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or Microbiology, or possess an equivalent qualification in a related field.

• A minimum of three to six months of on-the-job training is required. With a minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience in laboratory, brewing, or packaging operations, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in relevant technical and operational tasks within these fields.
