The Associate Field Manager (AFM) will serve as a pivotal leader in ensuring the organization delivers a top-tier product to both donors and recipients. This role involves overseeing Field Officers (FOS), managing daily operations, and driving team performance through strategic planning, coaching, and performance tracking. The AFM will act as the primary on-the-ground liaison for the Field Manager, providing regular updates on team progress, field developments, and operational risks, while also supporting analytical reporting as needed. Additionally, the AFM may step in for other AFM’s during absences. The ideal candidate will excel in personnel management, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making, with a strong commitment to enhancing both team and individual productivity. Key responsibilities include coordinating village surveys, monitoring FO performance and service quality, and identifying risks such as political instability or recipient refusals. The AFM will also collaborate with senior leadership to refine work plans, anticipate challenges, and implement improvements to enrollment processes and recipient experiences. Through mentorship, performance reviews, and hands-on shadowing, the AFM will cultivate a high-performing team culture while ensuring data integrity and operational excellence. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience in management are essential, along with fluency in English and Kinyarwanda, strong communication skills, and alignment with Give Directly’s mission and values.
