Role: Associate Field Manager (AFM) The Associate Field Manager (AFM) serves as a cornerstone in delivering Give Directly’s high-impact services to donors and recipients. This role involves supervising Field Officers (FOS) and overseeing daily team operations, including work planning, performance tracking, target achievement, coaching, and identifying risk mitigation and process optimization opportunities. The AFM acts as the primary on-the-ground liaison for the Field Manager, synthesizing updates on team performance, successes, and challenges while supporting the compilation of analytical reports as needed. The AFM may also step in for other AFM’s when required. Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional personnel management, organizational and analytical capabilities, strong written communication, sound operational judgment, and a commitment to driving both team and individual productivity and quality. Key Responsibilities Field Management & Quality Control – Coordinate team efforts for village surveys to enhance efficiency and output. – Monitor FO productivity and service quality by reviewing operational reports and conducting regular performance discussions with other AFM’s and the Field Manager, taking corrective action when metrics decline. – Keep senior leadership apprised of critical risks to the work plan, such as village-specific obstacles, political instability, misinformation about Give Directly, recipient refusals, or seasonal terrain challenges. – Meet monthly with the Field Manager to assess and adjust work plans. – Over time, reduce reliance on senior leadership by building capacity and delegating responsibilities to enhance the Field Manager’s effectiveness. Strategic Vision & Problem-Solving – Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, such as coordinating complex research partnerships or addressing delays in pilot programs. – Propose and implement enhancements to the enrollment process and recipient experience. – Support the
