To strengthen its operations across its Mzuzu, Lilongwe, and Blantyre locations, CMST is inviting dynamic and forward-thinking professionals to apply for the following role: Pharmacist-in-Charge Job Title: Pharmacist-in-Charge Job Grade: MS4 Location: Lilongwe Reports To: Branch Manager (MS3) Supervises: Pharmacist (MS5) Number of Positions: One (1) Purpose This position oversees all pharmaceutical warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and operational standards. Key Responsibilities – Enforcing compliance with the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority Act, relevant regulations, and Good Warehousing and Distribution Practices. – Overseeing warehouse activities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. – Ensuring real-time, accurate recording of inventory transactions in the ERP system. – Maintaining secure documentation of receipts, customer orders, and shipments. – Managing third-party logistics providers to optimize last-mile distribution and ensure cost-efficiency. – Collaborating with the Finance Department to validate customer invoicing accuracy. – Providing strategic guidance to management on stock status and movement trends. – Ensuring warehouse infrastructure, equipment, and material-handling processes are safe, functional, and optimized. – Developing, sustaining, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations. – Identifying staff training needs and implementing targeted capacity-building programs. – Preparing operational work plans and budgets while managing subordinate staff performance. Qualifications and Experience – A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution. – Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent qualification. – Valid registration with the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA). – Postgraduate qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field will be advantageous. Required Skills – Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in a high-volume pharmaceutical warehouse environment. – Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). – Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. – Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
