Background DIEGO’s Family Health and Nutrition Activity delivers essential medical supplies and equipment to establish and sustain Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (Cement) sites across four target provinces: Eastern, Scapula, Mulching, and Southern. This initiative employs a hands-on, facility-based mentorship model known as Cement mentorship, in which seasoned clinicians—including specialists and trained mentors—are deployed to health facilities for a set duration to enhance service delivery quality. Following a comprehensive needs assessment, the program has identified key priorities, including the equipping of operating theaters, the provision of critical medical supplies and materials, and the facilitation of knowledge transfer from expert practitioners to frontline healthcare providers. Objectives of the Assignment Our responsibility involves supplying medical equipment and materials to the four Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (Cement) sites to ensure their full operational readiness. Jhpiego seeks to formalize an agreement with the selected Supplier by executing a Purchase Order upon contract signing, as outlined in this Request for Proposal. The awarding of the contract will hinge on the vendor’s capacity to deliver goods that align with the specifications detailed in the Scope of Work at the most cost-effective price. While Diego initiates this RFP process with the objective of assessing vendors and potentially sourcing medical supplies from them, this document does not constitute any obligation for Diego to proceed with a purchase or to enter into a formal business agreement with any respondent.
