To strengthen operations across its branches in Mzuzu, Lilongwe, and Blantyre, CMST invites applications from forward-thinking and innovative professionals for the following position: Branch Accountant Job Grade: MS4 Location: Blantyre Reporting to: Branch Manager (MS3) Supervising: Assistant Accountant (MS6) Vacancy: One (1) position This role focuses on overseeing all accounting functions at the branch level while enhancing financial and inventory management efficiency. Key responsibilities include: – Maintaining and ensuring the proper use of warehouse accounting records, such as stock cards. – Communicating warehouse accounting updates to the Branch Manager. – Organizing and facilitating training initiatives for branch accounting personnel. – Assisting with inventory control in alignment with established stock management guidelines. – Compiling branch financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory obligations. – Contributing to cash flow planning and oversight. – Aiding in the preparation and monitoring of branch budgets. – Upholding adherence to organizational policies and procedures. – Leading the branch accounting team. – Managing stock records and overseeing warehouse stock ledgers.
