About the role: Our client is in search of a highly skilled Senior Land Surveyor to deliver expert technical leadership and precise surveying services for construction, earthworks, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing survey controls, laying out works, performing topographical and as-built surveys, and verifying that all activities adhere to approved drawings, specifications, and specified tolerances. Key Responsibilities: Develop, sustain and validate survey control points, benchmarks and reference systems. Conduct setting-out activities for earthworks, roadways, drainage systems, buildings, and related infrastructure. Perform comprehensive topographical, dimensional, and as-built surveying tasks while generating precise and detailed survey reports. Analyze engineering drawings, designs, and construction specifications to extract relevant information and ensure alignment with project requirements. Conduct precise volume and quantity calculations, encompassing both cut and fill measurements. Ensure construction activities adhere to specified design coordinates, levels, and tolerances throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain precise survey records, field data, and documentation with meticulous accuracy. Collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, supervisors, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment across all stakeholders. Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior survey personnel to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures. Ensure surveying operations adhere to the project’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards as well as established quality benchmarks. Minimum Requirements: Earned qualification in Land Surveying, Aromatics, or an equivalent field, such as a Degree or Diploma. 808–10 years of hands-on professional experience, ideally gained within the mining, construction, or large-scale civil engineering sectors. Proven expertise in operating Total Stations, GPS/GNSS systems, and advanced surveying instruments is required. Proficient in utilizing pertinent surveying tools and CAD software applications. Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, survey controls, earthworks, and setting-out procedures is essential. Proven capability to function autonomously and direct surveying operations within a challenging project setting.
