New Agrodeal Kenya Limited, a leading grower and exporter of top-quality organic herbs, vegetables, and flowers based in Naivasha, Kenya, is seeking an Advocate to join its team. Founded in 2015, the company is committed to producing the finest herbs to meet the specific needs of its customers.
The Advocate will handle legal matters for both The Great Rift Valley Retreat and New Agrodeal Kenya Limited. This role has a strong focus on land law (title, conveyancing, transfers, and disputes), alongside general contract and compliance work.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and land buyers/investors. Handle land matters including title verification, conveyancing, subdivision, and transfers. Ensure compliance with Kenyan laws on agriculture, exports, labor, land, and corporate governance. Manage dispute resolution and liaise with regulators and authorities. Advise management on legal risk across both companies.
Profile Sought:
Intelligent, creative, and committed individual. LL.B and admission to the Bar in Kenya, in good standing. Minimum 3 years' experience, with land law expertise required.
Required Skills:
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills. Agribusiness, real estate, or export trade experience is an added advantage. High ethical standards and ability to manage multiple matters independently. Bachelor's Degree. 3+ years of work experience with Commercial Real Estate Consulting. 3+ years of experience in Legal. Authorized to work in Kenya.
