Mace integrates construction expertise with consultancy to maximize potential in every project and person, redefining the frontiers of ambition. Our values guide our consulting approach and define the ideal candidates to join our team on this mission. This role offers the chance to contribute to a cutting-edge landmark project in Rwanda, where Mace has delivered Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services on high-profile aviation initiatives, enhancing passenger capacity and elevating service standards. Your primary duties will include developing and executing the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) in full alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards and the specific requirements of the client or employer. You will establish inspection and test plans (Its), review method statements, and implement material approval processes across all work packages. Additionally, you will lead internal and third-party quality audits, manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure their resolution and closure. Before work begins, you will review and approve the Quality Plans submitted by contractors and subcontractors. Your responsibilities also extend to overseeing the document control system, maintaining version control, and preserving comprehensive audit trails for all critical quality documentation. You will provide essential quality input during design reviews and constructability assessments, collaborating with the design team to ensure robust design assurance processes. Monthly quality performance reports will be your responsibility to compile and submit as part of the Project Board report. You will also manage the handover documentation process, including as-built records, test certificates, and O&M manuals, while liaising with the Rwandan Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and other regulatory bodies to meet quality certification requirements. Furthermore, you will spearhead the capture and dissemination of lessons learned within the quality function. To qualify, you must possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in quality management on major capital projects, with proven expertise in aviation infrastructure or similarly complex programs. A qualification as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor is mandatory, while Chartered Quality Professional (CQP) certification or an equivalent credential is highly desirable. You should demonstrate a strong command of construction quality assurance processes spanning civil, structural, MEP, and fit-out disciplines. Prior experience in East Africa or Sub-Saharan Africa is strongly preferred. Exceptional organizational abilities, analytical acumen, and proficiency in quality management software and digital reporting tools are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Our values prioritize safety—ensuring everyone returns home safely—

•Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
•Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
•Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
•Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
•Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
•A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
