Casual Waiter/Waitress

About the Role

We are seeking dynamic and guest-service-focused individuals to join our team as Casual Servers within a bustling 5-star hotel environment. The ideal candidates will have a passion for seamless execution of exceptional service, possess excellent communication skills, a strong background in banquets and event service, and thrive in a fast-paced luxury hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service: Provide warm and personalized service to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Greet guests upon arrival, assist with seating arrangements, and provide menus. Offer recommendations and answer questions about menu items, ensuring guests' needs are met.

Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff promptly. Ensure orders are delivered in a timely and organized manner, adhering to quality standards.

Knowledge of Menu: Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens. Stay informed about daily specials and promotional offerings.

Upselling and Recommendations: Proactively suggest additional items or upgrades to enhance the guest experience. Provide recommendations for wine pairings and other beverage options.

Table Maintenance: Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and dining areas. Attend to guests' needs throughout the meal, including refilling drinks and clearing empty plates.

Banquet Set-Up: Assist in the set-up of banquet rooms, ensuring all tables, chairs, linens, and table settings are arranged according to event specifications. Collaborate with the banquet team to arrange décor and other event elements.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service. Communicate guest feedback and special requests to relevant team members.

Presentation: Present a polished and professional appearance, adhering to the hotel's grooming and uniform standards. Handle silverware, glassware, and other tableware with care and precision.

Adherence to Policies: Adhere to health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and hotel policies. Maintain a high level of cleanliness in personal work areas and adhere to hygiene standards.

Profile Sought

A minimum of 6 months working experience in a restaurant or hotel with a degree / diploma / certificate in hospitality management OR 2 years working experience in a restaurant or hotel with a non-hospitality management degree/diploma. Previous experience in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting preferred. Exceptional guest service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and service standards. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the business needs.

Casual Bartender

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Casual Bartender to join our distinguished team and work within a bustling 5-star hotel environment. The ideal candidate will bring creativity mixology expertise, and exceptional guest service to an upscale bar environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the luxury hospitality setting through the delivery of top-notch beverage experiences to esteemed guests.

Key Responsibilities

Cocktail Crafting & Beverage Dispensing: Create and serve a variety of signature and classic cocktails with precision and flair. Customize drinks to accommodate guest preferences and dietary restrictions. Dispense beverages as per the standard operation procedures following the guest’s request.

Guest Engagement: Provide attentive and personable service to guests at the bar. Engage with patrons to ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Product Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the beverage menu, including wines, spirits, and other offerings. Stay informed about current mixology trends and incorporate them into the bar's offerings.

Bar Setup and Maintenance: Set up the bar area before service, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Regularly check and restock bar supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and liquors.

Education and Recommendations: Educate guests on the characteristics of various spirits and wines, providing recommendations when requested. Offer insights into the creation and history of specific cocktails.

Upselling and Revenue Generation: Suggest premium and specialty beverages to enhance the guest experience. Encourage participation in promotions and upsell high-margin items.

Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all alcohol service laws and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the bar area, following health and safety guidelines.

Team Collaboration: Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure seamless service. Communicate effectively with colleagues to maintain a smooth workflow.

Requirements

At least 6 months working experience within a bar or beverage service operation with a degree / diploma / certificate in hospitality management OR 2 years working experience in a restaurant or hotel with a non-hospitality management degree / diploma. Proven experience as a bartender in a high-end hotel, upscale bar, or fine dining establishment. Extensive knowledge of mixology, cocktails, and beverage trends. Exceptional guest service and communication skills. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the business needs.
