Humanitarian Platform Coordination Manager -NWSW

The Humanitarian Coordination Manager for the North West and South West regions (NWSW) provides strategic leadership and ensures the effective functioning of the Regional Humanitarian Coordination Platform (HCP). The role guides humanitarian actors in collective needs analysis, operational planning, resource allocation, and advocacy in a highly complex and evolving crisis environment. The Manager champions the Area-Based Coordination (ABC) model, strengthening locally led humanitarian action and enhancing decentralization, accountability, and community engagement. This includes leading inter‑regional coordination between the NW and SW, driving emergency preparedness, and promoting inclusive participation of local partners, women’s groups, disability representatives, and affected communities. Key responsibilities include chairing and facilitating HCP meetings, aligning coordination efforts with national humanitarian priorities, promoting joint assessments and analysis, monitoring response gaps and duplication, and ensuring consistent information sharing and reporting. The role also engages in high‑level advocacy on access, protection, funding, and principled humanitarian action. The position requires strong collaboration with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors, and national‑level coordination structures. It also emphasizes capacity strengthening and localized leadership through mentorship and support to divisional platforms.
