The Community Engagement Associate cultivates and nurtures partnerships with community organizations, religious institutions, and faith-based groups to promote social justice and safeguard at-risk populations. This position drives collaborative efforts, empowers community leaders, and activates grassroots movements to champion systemic reform while delivering trauma-informed assistance to survivors of violence. Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a culture of excellence. Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and drive sustainable growth while maintaining rigorous adherence to industry regulations and company policies. Serve as a primary liaison between senior management and departmental teams, facilitating clear communication, transparency, and accountability to achieve key performance indicators. Monitor progress through data-driven analysis, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements Demonstrated expertise in rallying and involving a wide range of community and faith-based stakeholders to advance advocacy, education, and support efforts. Skilled in designing and implementing customized training and outreach programs for community leaders, congregations, and grassroots organizations. Proven ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with religious institutions, community organizations, and advocacy networks. Proven ability to communicate effectively and facilitate discussions, translating intricate ideas into clear, actionable insights to drive unified progress. Demonstrates exceptional organizational and analytical skills to assess feedback, identify requirements, and manage the execution of community engagement initiatives. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and three or more years of professional experience are required for this role. Candidates should possess a strong academic background coupled with hands-on experience in their respective industry. Prior to work in a similar position is highly desirable, as it demonstrates familiarity with key responsibilities and challenges. Additionally, relevant certifications or specialized training may be beneficial for certain technical or advanced roles. A bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, community psychology, or a closely related discipline is required. A minimum of four years of professional experience in social work or counseling is required, with a strong preference for candidates who have supported survivors of sexual violence or other traumatic experiences. Prior to work with child and women survivors of violence is highly desirable. Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with social service organizations and develop collaborative networks. Experienced professionals are sought who have verifiable expertise and a strong technical grasp of trauma, coupled with the adept application of trauma-informed methodologies in case management and/or clinical intervention settings. Demonstrates a proven track record in coaching and training initiatives. Proven track record collaborating within the Uganda criminal justice system is required.
