The Systems Improvement Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing the university’s operational excellence by designing, refining, and overseeing organizational processes, policies, and governance structures. This position collaborates with operational teams to ensure efficiency, compliance, scalability, and alignment with institutional priorities and regulatory standards. By integrating process reengineering, governance oversight, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, the role enables the university to deliver outstanding services to students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. The ideal candidate demonstrates analytical rigor, collaborative problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to transform operational challenges into sustainable, well-governed solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the evaluation, mapping, design, and continuous enhancement of core administrative and operational processes across the university. Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and risk factors, proposing solutions informed by industry best practices. Anticipate operational risks and develop mitigation strategies within established process and governance frameworks. Ensure adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and audit requirements by maintaining accurate process documentation and reporting mechanisms. Conduct periodic quality assessments to verify that processes remain effective, sustainable, and compliant. Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to measure process efficiency and support data-driven decision-making. Develop and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures that promote transparency, consistency, and compliance. Align governance practices with legal, accreditation, financial, and ethical standards relevant to higher education and non-profit sectors. Monitor compliance with established standards and recommend corrective measures as needed. Translate strategic directives into actionable process initiatives, project plans, and change management activities. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure processes, systems, and governance frameworks support institutional objectives. Act as a trusted advisor on process and governance best practices. Oversee change management efforts related to process improvements, including communication strategies, training initiatives, and stakeholder readiness assessments. Foster cross-institutional relationships to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and operational alignment. Qualifications & Experience A bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of five years of experience in process management, corporate governance, risk management, operations strategy, or a related discipline is essential. Proven expertise in business process mapping, process improvement methodologies, and governance frameworks is critical, along with a deep understanding of compliance, policy development, and organizational controls in complex institutions.
