Our hospital specializes in oncology (cancer care), cardiovascular medicine, renal (kidney) care, advanced surgery, and precision diagnostics, all under one roof. We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Orderly / Potter
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Full-Time
Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Orderly to provide essential non-clinical support that contributes to the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient care within the hospital. The ideal candidate will assist with patient transportation, mobility support, environmental upkeep, and other patient care support services while ensuring patients are treated with dignity, comfort, and respect at all times.
Requirements:
Minimum of WAEC / SSCE or its equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience as an Orderly, Hospital Attendant, Healthcare Assistant, or in a similar healthcare support role.
Basic knowledge of safe patient handling techniques, infection prevention and control practices, and hospital safety procedures.
Ability to safely operate wheelchairs, stretchers, patient trolleys, and other patient transport equipment.
Good physical fitness with the ability to lift, transfer, and support patients safely.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Professional conduct, compassion, reliability, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
