The primary duties for this position include: The incumbent is responsible for overseeing all bar, banquet beverage operations, and Lobby Lounge functions to ensure seamless execution and optimal profitability, all within the established guidelines of the hotel. Through strategic initiatives aimed at boosting sales performance and optimizing cost efficiency, we strive to enhance overall revenue generation. This involves implementing targeted sales strategies to drive revenue growth while ensuring meticulous control over expenditures to maximize profitability. Responsibilities include providing guidance on updates to the Beverage and Wine list to ensure a distinctive and appealing selection that aligns with guest preferences and hotel standards. To ensure comprehensive knowledge of all Alcántara Guest Incentive programs and promotions, with the objective of enhancing guest satisfaction and boosting sales revenue. Ensure the implementation and maintenance of robust inventory, requisition, bar pars, and control systems to uphold security and cost-efficiency across all beverage operations. Engage proactively in departmental training initiatives and, as needed, lead training sessions to support business objectives. Develop and execute a structured daily training program for the department. Ensure strict adherence to safety and sanitation protocols at all times to maintain outlet standards. Anantara’s Sanitation Checklist must be strictly enforced, with all Bar service areas undergoing thorough monthly inspections to ensure compliance. Oversee the comprehensive asset management of all outlet properties and associated facilities to ensure optimal operation and maintenance. Foster strong collaborative connections between departments by engaging in transparent and constructive dialogue and teamwork. Collaborate closely with the Banqueting Department to facilitate the seamless execution of all scheduled functions and events. To inspire our Associates to achieve excellence, we seek a leader who actively engages with the team, demonstrating a commitment to leading by example through direct involvement. Requirements: Minimum of two years of direct bartending experience in a hospitality setting, specifically within hotels, resorts, bars, or restaurants. A Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent is an essential prerequisite for this position. Proficient expertise in classic cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages is required. Exceptional interpersonal abilities and proficiency in conveying information clearly and effectively are essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in adhering to responsible alcohol service protocols and maintaining stringent hygiene standards. Preferred qualifications include prior experience with cash handling and POS systems. A collaborative approach, professional demeanor, and a constructive outlook are essential traits for this role.
