The primary responsibilities for this role include: The professional is responsible for overseeing the seamless operation and profitability of all bars, banquet beverage, and Lobby Lounge outlets, aligning their performance with the overall objectives of the hotel. Enhancing revenue streams by driving sales growth and optimizing cost efficiency is a key priority. Responsible for recommending enhancements to the Beverage and Wine list to ensure a distinctive and appealing selection that aligns with guest preferences and operational standards. To ensure comprehensive knowledge of all Alcántara Guest Incentive programs and promotions, with the aim of enhancing guest satisfaction and driving sales revenue growth. To maintain security and cost control across all beverage operations areas, establish and maintain robust inventory, requisition, bar pars, and control systems. Engage proactively in departmental training initiatives and, when necessary, lead training sessions to address evolving business requirements. Establish and oversee a daily departmental training program to ensure consistent skill development and operational alignment. Ensure adherence to all safety and sanitation protocols at the outlet consistently. Conduct monthly inspections of all bar service areas to ensure full compliance with Anantara’s Sanitation Checklist. Ensure comprehensive oversight of asset management for all outlet properties and facilities. Facilitate constructive collaboration and transparent dialogue to foster strong working relationships across departments. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the Banqueting Department to facilitate the execution of all requested functions seamlessly. With utmost importance, this role demands leading by example, actively engaging with Associates to inspire and cultivate excellence through a practical, hands-on methodology. Requirements: Experienced bartenders with at least two years of professional service in hotels, resorts, bars, or restaurants are required. A high school diploma or equivalent, such as a Grade 12 School Certificate, is an essential prerequisite for this role. Proficiency in a wide range of classic cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages is required. The ability to deliver exceptional customer service and communicate effectively is essential. Demonstrates exceptional aptitude for thriving in high-velocity settings without compromising precision and accuracy. Proficient in responsible alcohol service protocols and adherence to hygiene standards is required. Preferred experience includes cash handling and proficiency with POS systems. Maintain a positive disposition, present a professional image, and actively contribute as a collaborative team member. Accommodating of varied scheduling needs, including shift rotations, weekend assignments, and public holiday coverage.
