About the Role We are in search of a seasoned HSEQ Lead to manage and execute Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality systems throughout our Zambian operations. The chosen professional will assume a critical role in maintaining adherence to global standards, spearheading ongoing enhancements, and cultivating an enduring HSEQ culture within the organization. Responsibilities Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of HSEQ policies, procedures, and daily operational activities. Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) standards. Perform audits, inspections, and risk assessments, with a focus on tracking and closing corrective actions efficiently. Conduct thorough incident investigations, perform detailed root cause analyses, and prepare comprehensive reports. HSEQ training, encompassing emergency response protocols and security awareness initiatives, will be delivered by the incumbent. We assist in waste management operations, ensure adherence to environmental regulations, and contribute to business continuity planning initiatives. Collaborate effectively with regulatory authorities, clients, and internal departments to uphold and enhance high Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards. Frequent visits to operational locations are necessary to deliver hands-on assistance and ensure effective supervision. Qualifications Over eight years of professional experience, including more than five years specifically in QHSE roles and three or more years dedicated to logistics and lifting operations. A relevant bachelor’s degree is a mandatory requirement for this position. Preferred qualification includes possession of BOSH or SAMURAI certification. Proficient in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards with a deep understanding of their requirements and applications. Preferred auditing experience in Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) systems. Certified Trainer/Assessor.
