The position requires a deep understanding of regional challenges, including infrastructure deficits, policy gaps, and socio-economic disparities, alongside demonstrated expertise in cross-border collaboration and stakeholder engagement. Key responsibilities include leading high-impact projects, advising policymakers on evidence-based solutions, and driving innovative approaches to address systemic barriers to growth and prosperity. ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Primary Responsibility: Execute daily HSEQ functions and deliver specialized technical assistance to facilitate the successful deployment of Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality management systems. Develop, execute, and oversee HSEQ campaigns, training initiatives, and awareness programs to foster a robust culture of safety. Coordinate internal and external Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSEQ) audits, providing assistance throughout the planning, execution, and reporting phases while overseeing the close-out of corrective actions to verify adherence to legal, customer-specific, and organizational standards. Monitor, oversee, and document adherence to HSEQ standards, taking a proactive approach to identify and address any deviations to mitigate risks and enhance overall performance. Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes, then develop and implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate future risks. Perform comprehensive workplace inspections, evaluate risks, and ensure compliance with relevant standards to proactively identify potential hazards and propose effective corrective measures. Maintain accurate HSEQ records, prepare comprehensive reports, and ensure statutory documentation remains up-to-date in strict compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Facilitate emergency preparedness measures by coordinating drills, developing response strategies, and implementing continuous improvement efforts. Offer expert HSEQ advice and assistance to operational personnel, contractors, and key stakeholders, ensuring the secure and efficient completion of routine tasks. Evaluate HSEQ performance metrics on a monthly basis, compiling and presenting these data-driven insights to facilitate strategic management decisions and drive ongoing enhancements. EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline is required. Advanced computer skills and expertise in data management. Knowledge of Risk Assessment. Professional candidates should possess comprehensive experience and a strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 22301 standards.
