Our client within the Security Sector is currently seeking skilled and seasoned Armed Crew Members for deployment in Jinja. The incumbent will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, ensuring alignment with executive leadership directives and organizational objectives. This role serves as a critical communication link between senior management and other departments, facilitating the seamless execution of strategic initiatives. The position demands a high level of accountability, as it involves providing regular updates, presenting analytical insights, and supporting high-level decision-making processes. Additionally, the incumbent will contribute to board meetings, governance matters, and cross-functional projects, reinforcing the CEO’s operational and strategic priorities. Twenty full-time positions are available, with an allocation of twenty roles to be filled. Located in Jinja, Uganda, the position requires on-site presence. The Armed Crew Member is tasked with delivering prompt armed intervention during security emergencies to safeguard company personnel, assets, and property. This position encompasses responding to critical incidents, executing vehicle and foot patrols, reinforcing static security measures in high-risk scenarios, providing armed escort services, and ensuring the operational readiness of firearms and security equipment. Additionally, the Armed Crew Member aids in securing incident sites, monitoring and reporting potential security threats, and collaborating with law enforcement authorities while adhering to company security protocols, regulatory mandates, and established operational guidelines. Oversee and execute a diverse range of duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Provide leadership in managing key responsibilities, which include performing tasks with precision while adhering to established policies and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, optimize workflows, and achieve departmental targets. Facilitate communication and coordination among stakeholders to enhance productivity and maintain high performance standards. Assume accountability for delivering results within specified timelines and budgetary constraints, while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.

• Act swiftly and decisively in response to any security emergencies encountered. Ensure the safety and security of all company employees and organizational assets.

Perform vehicle and foot patrols to ensure security and surveillance. Provide assistance to static guards when responding to high-risk situations. Ensure the integrity of crime scenes by maintaining control and preventing unauthorized access until the arrival of investigators. Provide support during lawfully authorized searches, arrests, and the detention of suspects as required. Ensure the secure transportation of individuals or assets utilizing armed personnel as required. Ensure all firearms and associated equipment remain in optimal working condition and fully operational at all times. Monitor and document potential security risks or suspicious activities to ensure timely identification and response to threats. The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications, extensive experience, and a diverse skill set. A degree in a pertinent field is required, along with proven expertise in related roles. Strong analytical abilities, exceptional communication skills, and proficiency in industry-specific tools are essential. Prior experience in a similar position is highly desirable, as is the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Adaptability, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to continuous learning are also key attributes. A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience is required. A former member of the Uganda Police Force (UPF). Obtained certification in firearms handling and possesses hands-on operational experience.
