This role involves managing monitoring and evaluation systems, analyzing key performance indicators, and producing actionable reports to track progress toward ESG goals. Additionally, the specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG principles into organizational strategies and ensure alignment with global reporting standards. Requirements entail a minimum of five years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or a related field, along with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies. Strong project management skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a keen understanding of regulatory frameworks are essential. A relevant degree in environmental science, sustainability, or business administration is preferred, complemented by certifications such as GRI, SAS, or IRIS+. Based in Kitwe, this full-time position integrates the development of corporate sustainability (ESG) strategies with the oversight of project performance and impact monitoring (MEL) to facilitate data-informed growth. Key Responsibilities ESG Management: Develop and oversee ESG frameworks, maintain adherence to both local and international regulations, and spearhead risk assessments and reporting initiatives. MEL Frameworks: Design and develop data collection instruments, monitor key performance metrics, ensure quality control throughout the process, and convert data into strategic, decision-making insights. Learning & Reporting: Foster an environment of continuous learning among teams and prepare detailed impact reports for stakeholders. Key Requirements Education: Diploma A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Statistics, Development Studies, or a closely related discipline is required. Experience: Professionals with 1 to 4 years of experience in overseeing ESG frameworks and/or Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems are sought, with a preference for candidates from the NGO or corporate sustainability sectors. Skills: Skilled in utilizing data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, KoboToolbox, and OK, with a solid understanding of Zambia’s environmental regulatory framework.
