We seek a proactive graduate or final-year student eager to build practical expertise in Nature-based Solutions, watershed restoration, agroforestry, and community-led natural resource management. The Project Intern will assist in executing the RECHARGE Project by contributing to community mobilization efforts, data collection, documentation, reporting, and administrative coordination. Collaborating with NCA, NORAD, community stakeholders, and project partners, the intern will develop hands-on experience in climate resilience initiatives, environmental restoration, monitoring, and community engagement practices. Responsibilities and tasks Facilitate active participation of local communities and stakeholders in project-related initiatives and training sessions. Assist in tracking project activities, collecting relevant data, compiling reports, and maintaining thorough documentation of project outcomes. Coordinate meeting logistics, manage project documentation, and facilitate administrative tasks associated with project oversight. Facilitate project learning initiatives, enhance visibility efforts, promote knowledge sharing, and support other assigned implementation activities to drive successful project outcomes. The incumbent will facilitate community engagement efforts for meetings, training sessions, surveys, and project initiatives, collaborate with project personnel during field visits, stakeholder interactions, and environmental restoration efforts, and ensure logistical arrangements are in place for community gatherings and field operations. Gather project data through digital platforms, including KoboCollect, water, or alternative monitoring solutions. Accurate activity records and field documentation must be consistently maintained. Capture photographic documentation and gather tangible evidence of project activities and outcomes. Assist with compiling and drafting field visit reports, activity summaries, and stakeholder engagement documentation. Documenting success stories, lessons learned, and best practices is an essential responsibility of this role. Assist in the coordination and arrangement of meetings, workshops, training sessions, and travel arrangements. Maintain organized project files, attendance logs, and documentation frameworks to ensure comprehensive record-keeping and compliance. Supported maintenance and updating of project monitoring databases. Actively engage in project meetings, training sessions, and learning events to contribute to ongoing development and project success. Assist in the dissemination of project-related information and enhance the transparency of project activities. Perform additional responsibilities as reasonably delegated by the supervisor to facilitate the successful execution of projects. Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree (or enrollment in the final year) in a relevant field such as environmental science, agriculture, natural resources, forestry, water management, or climate studies is required. Preference will be given to candidates holding a Master’s degree. Demonstrated expertise in environmental conservation, climate resilience, community development, or natural resource management is required. Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with up to three years of applicable experience, will be deemed equivalent to those with a Master’s degree. Proficiency in data collection, documentation, and reporting, along with familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, is required. Ability and willingness to work in rural settings and undertake regular travel to project locations are required.
