About the role Lead a multidisciplinary team of Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) professionals to oversee the receipt of raw materials, ensuring strict adherence to established standards and regulatory compliance throughout the supply chain process. Products must adhere to established specifications, with the facility operating in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs). Compliance with applicable regulations and standards is ensured through the establishment and ongoing maintenance of these systems. Develop, evaluate, and synchronize procedures with corporate policies using the GQMS framework to ensure adherence and operational consistency. We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee and enhance our Global Quality Management System, committed to implementing best-in-class practices and driving continuous improvement across all operations. This role requires extensive expertise in quality assurance methodologies and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks while ensuring compliance with international standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish robust processes, conduct thorough audits, and promote a culture of excellence throughout the organization. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of current audit methodologies and processes to identify opportunities for enhancement, thereby mitigating the risk of non-conformances. Key responsibilities Promote an unwavering culture of “Safety First, Quality Always,” fostering a steadfast dedication to safety protocols, regulatory adherence, and ongoing enhancement throughout the facility. Lead, mentor, and cultivate a top-performing Quality team by overseeing hiring initiatives, delivering comprehensive training programs, and providing continuous performance guidance.
- Maintain strict adherence to HACCP, GMPs, Shops, allergen programs, and sanitation protocols to uphold industry-leading and customer-focused standards. Own and manage customer complaint investigations from start to finish, guaranteeing prompt, efficient resolution while elevating overall customer satisfaction. Conduct comprehensive root cause analyses and spearhead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) initiatives to eliminate recurrence risks and enhance process robustness in response to nonconformities, complaints, audit findings, and similar issues. Oversee inspection procedures for both raw materials and finished products to maintain uniform quality and ensure compliance with established specifications. Leverage data-driven insights and foster robust cross-functional collaboration to spearhead ongoing improvement initiatives. We deliver a robust quality training program, consistently equipping plant personnel with essential knowledge of GMP principles and QMS/FSMS initiatives.
- Conducting internal audits and participating in Management Reviews to evaluate the plant’s compliance with established systems and procedures, and providing constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement in quality standards.
Develop and implement quality-related plans to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications and skills A bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or a closely related discipline is required. With a minimum of five years of experience in food quality and safety, candidates should demonstrate a strong background in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and implementing best practices to maintain high-quality food products. Highly desirable candidates will possess prior experience within multinational enterprises operating in the food or ingredients sector, as well as the pharmaceutical industry. Certification in food safety management systems, such as FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMPs, and GHPs, along with auditing qualifications like Lead Auditor certification, is highly beneficial. A valuable asset for this role would be holding certifications in food safety systems, such as FSSC 22000, and possessing Lead Auditor certification. Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies would be considered a valuable asset.
