Key Purpose
The primary responsibility of this position involves overseeing, mentoring, and managing the maintenance teams’ operations within the production environment. To deliver expert technical guidance aimed at optimizing equipment uptime and operational reliability.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitored team goals
- Maintain machines & repairs breakdowns
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, facilitating SOAP Assessments among the team.
Evaluates capital expenditure (CAPEX) opportunities requiring immediate attention to ensure optimal resource allocation and strategic alignment with organizational goals. Develops skilled artisans and machine specialists by establishing and implementing a comprehensive development plan to enhance their expertise and capabilities. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment
- Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, health, and environmental legislation and established procedures.
- Maintain safety and 5S Standards
Identifying and rectifying unsafe practices are critical responsibilities of the SO, ensuring operational safety and compliance with established protocols. The incumbent is tasked with systematically assessing workflows, pinpointing areas of risk, and implementing corrective measures to mitigate potential hazards. Through rigorous monitoring and proactive interventions, the SO plays a pivotal role in fostering a secure working environment while upholding regulatory standards.

- Identify and source plant, equipment, spares, and associated documentation or systems.

Conduct in-depth Loss and Waste analysis for the top three machines to identify inefficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and optimize operational performance. Ensure artisan workstations are configured to effectively address the key problem areas identified in production processes. Plant Performance

Autonomous Operations are responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of systems and processes in strict adherence to established plans and schedules. This role ensures seamless execution and continuous support to uphold operational efficiency and reliability.

Compiles the designated budget allocations for the ZBB/VIC Maintenance department.

- Machine Specialist (Mechanical)
- FTC or Diploma in Mechanical engineering
