Responsibility: Duties and Responsibilities Planning Functions Assist in overseeing and tracking the execution of the Corporate Strategic Plan and related initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and timely progress. ii. strategic plans of the University. Prepare mid-term and annual reports outlining progress against the Corporate Strategic Plan. As part of your role, you will oversee the compilation and finalization of the University Annual Report, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion. To establish a robust and systematic approach, devise methodologies for gathering data pertinent to multiple facets of the University’s operational programs. Collect and compile data regarding University activities systematically. Professionally assess the operational costs associated with University programs through the application of established performance metrics and financial benchmarks. Based on analyzed data regarding the University’s staff and student population, projections will be formulated to provide insights and inform strategic decision-making. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the development and formulation of the Directorate of Planning and Investment’s budget. Assist in maintaining alignment between the Directorate’s operations and the annual work plan, ensuring all activities are executed in accordance with established objectives. xiv. Execute additional relevant responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Planning and Investment or any other authorized University authority. b. Investment Functions Engage in the formulation and evaluation of investment strategies to enhance portfolio performance and align with organizational objectives. ii. Prepare investment plans and project documents. Follow up on the execution of the approved investment initiatives to ensure timely and effective implementation. Monitoring the performance of approved investments and compiling detailed reports on their progress. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the University’s investment portfolios to identify, analyze, and mitigate potential risks. This involves thorough due diligence to ensure alignment with institutional financial objectives and compliance with applicable regulatory standards. Engage actively in performing research activities focused on identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities. Conduct additional duties as directed by the Director of Planning and Investment or other authorized personnel as deemed necessary. viii. competent University Authority. c. Resource Mobilization Functions Provide support in overseeing the execution of the Resource Mobilization Strategy to ensure its effective implementation. ii. Develop comprehensive proposals to secure funding and additional resources essential for advancing the University’s strategic objectives. iii. Plan and establishing income-generating activities/projects. Ensure approved income-generating activities by the University are diligently monitored, and compile and submit comprehensive progress reports. v. Identify funding opportunities and avenues. Develop and maintain comprehensive profiles for the University’s donors and partners, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information at all times. vii. Support the development and delivery of training programs aimed at educating and raising awareness among all University staff regarding resource mobilization strategies. Engage in publicity events, dialogues, and stakeholder meetings to mobilize resources for the University. Execute any additional duties as delegated by the Director of Planning and Investment or other authorized University representatives. Skill : Resource Mobilization Functions Investment Functions Qualification Required: Desired Educational Qualifications The position requires a Master’s Degree holder from an accredited university in planning, Project Planning and Management, Finance and Investment, Development Planning and Management, Planning and Investment, Educational Planning and Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or an equivalent discipline.
