Laiterie du Berger (LDB) is recruiting a QHSE Assistant Trainee – Hygiene – Security – Environment) as part of a 6-month internship to strengthen his team. Based at the Niary Training and Demonstration Centre, located 12 km from Richard Toll (Dagana Department, Senegal), the intern will mainly work on the Niary site, with occasional trips to the Dagana area.   • Bac + 3 to Bac + 5 in Quality, Hygiene, Safety, Environment (QHSE), or in Agronomy, Zootechnie, Animal Production (with a dominant QHSE), or in Education Sciences / Pedagogical Engineering (with significant experience in QHSE). Experiences:
  • At least a first experience in a similar position (QHSE Assistant, Prevention Officer, Quality Coordinator, etc.);

Education / Qualifications

  • Experience in the agricultural, livestock or dairy processing sector (ideally in rural areas);
  • Experience in training or raising awareness among under-educated, rural youth and women in rural areas;
  • Experience in implementing the Competency-Based Approach (CBA) would be an asset; Skills Mastery of QHSE standards (ISO 9001, HACCP, etc.) and audit and risk assessment methodologies; Ability to popularize complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences; Organizational rigor, sense of planning and anticipation; Relationship skills, patience and pedagogy; Ability to work in teams and with multiple partners; Have an acceptable vocabulary in the field of livestock; Mastery of office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and if possible simple digital tools (tablets, basic e-learning platforms).
