Agribusiness Development Officer - Central Contract type: Full-time Qualification: BA/BSc/HND, Diploma Location: Not specified Field: Agriculture / Agribusiness
Key responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the assigned territory.
Establish and maintain relationships with farmer organizations, agricultural stakeholders, and key partners.
Promote the adoption of the company's agricultural products and solutions through demonstrations, training, and field engagements.
Plan and execute field activities, client visits, and product awareness campaigns.
Assist clients with technical product information and agronomic advice.
Achieve agreed sales and territory growth targets.
Gather market intelligence, client feedback, and competitive insights.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.Desired profile:
Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Crop Science, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in agricultural sales, agronomy, extension services, business development, or a related field.
Experience working with farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives, or agricultural value chains is an asset.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
A valid motorcycle or car driver's license is an asset.The ideal candidate is: passionate about improving farmers' livelihoods, with a commercial mindset and strong business development skills, comfortable with farmers and stakeholders, proactive in problem-solving, and able to build long-term relationships.
